How Patricia Lost 30+ Pounds, Cleared Her Allergies, and Transformed Her Health From the Inside Out

Have you ever felt like you were doing everything right for your health… but your body still wasn’t responding the way you expected?

You’re eating well, you exercise consistently, you’re reading health books, listening to health podcasts, and trying to take care of your health proactively. But despite all that effort, your body isn’t where you’d like it to be.

That’s where Patricia was.

At 45 years old, Patricia was already doing more for her health than most people. She was strength training several times a week, paying attention to nutrition, and actively learning about gut health and hormones.

From the outside, she looked healthy and successful, but underneath the surface, she knew something was off.

She was experiencing allergies, brain fog, stubborn weight retention, digestive symptoms, asthma during exercise, and growing concerns about how her body would handle perimenopause and menopause. She had sought information about all these things… but had no clear direction on what to actually do with it.

If nothing changed, she feared she’d continue gathering more health information while still feeling stuck in the same place. She did not want to become more reliant on medications nor feel less confident in her body as she got older.

After working through my Burnout-Proof Blueprint process, Patricia experienced a transformation she didn’t think was possible.

She lost over 30 pounds.
Her lifelong allergies became almost non-existent.
She stopped needing her inhaler to exercise.
Her mental clarity improved dramatically.
And months later, her doctor found no evidence of eosinophils connected to her EOE diagnosis.

This is the story of how she made that happen—with personalized support, functional testing, and a completely different approach to health than the “push harder and restrict more” strategies she had already tried.

The “Healthy” Woman Who Still Didn’t Feel Her Best

Patricia is a working mom of three and a successful business process leader. She exercised 3–4 times a week, prioritized fitness, and genuinely cared about her health—not just for herself, but because she wanted to be a good example for her kids.

Over the years, she had worked hard to improve her strength and fitness. She had gained muscle through weight training and was intentional about her nutrition. She practiced carb cycling, focused on balanced eating, and had even started learning more about gut health through books, podcasts, and documentaries.

But despite all her effort, her body still held onto excess weight. That was frustrating because she wasn’t someone ignoring her health. She was strength training consistently, paying attention to nutrition, and putting in real effort yet her body still felt stuck in the same place.

At the same time, she was dealing with:

  • Persistent allergies

  • Runny nose, sneezing, itchy eyes, and congestion

  • Brain fog

  • Low or inconsistent energy

  • Bloating and digestive discomfort

  • Asthma symptoms during exercise that required an inhaler

  • EOE symptoms (a chronic condition affecting the esophagus)

  • Fear around future hormone changes

  • Concern about family history of serious illness, including cancer

Years earlier, Patricia had been hospitalized with endocarditis. That experience stayed with her and deeply influenced how she thought about long-term health and immunity.

She didn’t want to wait until symptoms got worse. Her allergies weren’t just occasional inconvenience symptoms. They could linger for days at a time and affect how she felt day-to-day.

She wanted deeper answers and clarity. And she wanted to understand what her body actually needed before entering the hormonal transition years ahead.

But like many women, she was in a state of information overload from the books, podcasts, and resources she consumed. She understood that gut health mattered. But all the advice online started to feel overwhelming and contradictory.

She knew more than ever before—but still didn’t feel better.

And that’s a frustrating place to be.

The Moment She Decided to Get Support

What finally pushed Patricia to seek support was realizing she didn’t want to continue trying to piece everything together on her own.

She wanted someone legitimate and knowledgeable who could help her see what was most important and create a personalized plan.

She was in a different season of life. After stepping back from a full-time, high-stress career and moving into part-time work, she finally had a little more mental space to focus on herself again.

As she put it:

“I’ll tend to prioritize everything but myself.”

Even though she wanted better health, she initially worried whether she would realistically have the time and consistency to fully commit to the process while supporting her family.

But ultimately, she wanted to work with someone proactively instead of waiting until symptoms became bigger problems.

So she joined my Burnout-Proof Blueprint program.

Step 1: Reveal — Why Her Body Was Holding Onto Weight Despite Healthy Habits

The first step inside the Burnout-Proof Blueprint is Reveal. Instead of guessing, we used functional lab testing to understand what was actually happening inside Patricia’s body.

Her testing showed her body was under more internal stress than she realized:

  • Bacterial and yeast overgrowth connected to her digestive symptoms and allergies

  • A sensitivity to cow’s dairy—even though she was taking colostrum daily because she believed it was helping her gut

  • Vitamin and mineral imbalances

  • Signs of inflammation

  • Detoxification pathways that needed support, especially glutathione function

This gave us the clarity she had been searching for.

Because Patricia finally stopped wondering, “Why isn’t my body responding to exercise?”

Now we had real answers and we could stop using generalized wellness advice and start creating a plan specifically for her body.

Many women assume they simply need more discipline, more restriction, or harder workouts, but often, the body is already overwhelmed. That was true for Patricia.

Her symptoms weren’t random. They were signals.

Step 2: Rebalance — Supporting Her Body’s Nourishment Instead of Restricting

Once we understood what her body needed, we moved into the Rebalance phase.

We created a personalized nutrition and supplementation plan designed to support her gut health, nutrient systems, detoxification, and overall resilience.

Over the next three months, Patricia went through a targeted gut protocol to help rebalance her microbiome because that was the biggest finding for her.

She temporarily eliminated foods that were creating inflammation and sensitivity, but the mindset behind this mattered. This wasn’t about punishment or restriction. It was about creating the strongest possible foundation so her body could heal.

And we built this in a way that still allowed her to enjoy life. She was able to enjoy summer with her family, eat with flexibility, and move away from the exhausting mindset that health has to feel rigid. That shift alone was incredibly freeing for her.

Instead of seeking weight loss through carb cycling, fasting, and intense workouts, she began learning how to nourish her body in a way that actually reduced stress on her system.

Step 3: Recharge – The Surprising Lifestyle Changes That Helped Her Lose Weight

One of the biggest breakthroughs came from making subtle lifestyle adjustments that supported hormone balance and reduced physical stress on her body.

These changes were simple but powerful.

We:

  • Moved coffee to after breakfast

  • Added morning hydration

  • Introduced consistent morning sunlight exposure

  • Reduced excessive HIIT workouts

  • Started going to the sauna a few times a week

  • Focused on creating steadier energy throughout the day

And something surprising happened. When she stopped pushing her body so hard… she started losing weight. For years, Patricia believed the answer was more discipline: more intense workouts, tighter nutrition, and pushing harder. But her body didn’t need more pressure. It needed more support.

This is where many women get stuck. They assume more intensity equals better results. But for women already carrying significant stress—mentally, emotionally, or physically—adding more stress can actually make it harder for the body to respond.

Patricia began recognizing that stress isn’t just emotional.

Overtraining, under-fueling, blood sugar swings, inflammation, poor digestion, and lack of recovery all create stress inside the body too.

As we reduced those stressors, her body responded beautifully.

Her energy became more stable, she reduced her caffeine intake, her mental clarity improved dramatically, and she became much more connected to what her body actually needed.

The Results: 30+ Pounds Lost, No More Inhaler, and Almost No Allergies

The changes Patricia experienced were incredible. For the first time in years, she felt like her body was responding instead of fighting her.

She lost over 30 pounds.

Her allergies became almost non-existent.

She no longer needed her inhaler to exercise.

Her mental clarity improved so much that she said she hadn’t even realized how much brain fog she’d been living with until it disappeared. She noticed she could think more clearly throughout the workday without feeling mentally drained by afternoon.

As a surprise bonus, her doctor noticed significant improvements in her EOE markers and told her:

“Keep doing what you’re doing.”

Months later, follow-up testing showed no evidence of eosinophils.

But beyond the measurable health changes, the biggest transformation was how Patricia felt.

She shared:

“I couldn’t ask for anything better—I didn’t expect my allergies to improve that much—they are almost non-existent! It’s amazing to know that that’s possible.”

She also said:

“I am able to exercise freely without my inhaler. The downstream impact of my health of not being reliant on that anymore is great.”

And perhaps most importantly:

“I am more in tune with my body and what it needs, which gives more confidence in making the right choices.”

Today, Patricia feels more confident in her body and her long-term health than she has in years.

At one point, Patricia was unexpectedly in a car with a dog and in a fire zone—two situations that previously would have triggered major allergy symptoms—and she realized she felt completely fine.
She can exercise without fear.
She no longer relies on intense dieting strategies.
She feels calmer around food and exercise.
And she finally has proof that her body can heal when given the right support.

What Patricia’s Transformation Reveals About Women’s Health

So many career-driven women are walking around tired, foggy, and inflamed while still trying to “do everything right.” They assume their symptoms are normal or they think the answer is more willpower.

But Patricia’s story is proof that your body is not messing up.

She didn’t need more health podcasts, stricter dieting, or harder workouts. She needed clarity about what her body was asking for.

I love Patricia’s story because you don’t have to wait until things get worse to prioritize your health, and you don’t have to figure it all out alone.
